OVFF is my favorite con. It has been since I attended it in 2001, six weeks after 9/11, and went home with a good deal of my sanity revived. Going to OVFF is going home. I love the con, I love the people, I love the circles and the concerts and con suite and everything about it (except that lousy TV in the lobby).

I know that not everyone sees it that way. And that a massive can of worms was opened after we left. But I also know that all the good things I see at OVFF are real and that the good about what we've created there every October is something special and wonderful. And all of you that I see there, you are too.

And that's all I have to say about that.

I'm glad to see that. It seems to me that people who seemed to be having a great time AT the con this year are apparently convincing themselves after the fact that they did not. Me, I had one of my favorite OVFFs ever this year.
