Our long national nightmare is over. Bruce Jones is off the book.

The first story arc following his deaputre will written by the man who created Nightwing, Marv Wolfman, and drawn by Dan Jurgens. Will this be any good? Given that Wolfman did a decent job with his contribution to Infinite Crisis, I expect so.

That said, Dan Didio, the man who runs DC, is now on record as saying that he never wants to dee Dick/Babs again. The problem, methinks, wasn't with Jones but with the attitude towards Dick Grayson in the first place.

I hate Jurgen's art with a passion, but hearing that Wolfman is going to do it makes me extremely happy.

Good riddance to Jones.

It doesn't bode well for the Dick/Babs, though, given Didio's attitude and that Wolfman adores Starfire.

Yeah, but the key thing to remember is that Didio will not be in charge forever, and what he says will not hold true for whoever comes next.

Alas, I think we are stuck with him unless and until DC starts to lose money. As unhappy as we are, the company is doing better than it has in ages.

I'm not so much unhappy as wary. An editor-in-chief who defies the opinion of most diehard fans is not the smartest man, is he?

But Dick/Babs is not necessarily the opinion of all diehard fans. I don't want it in current comics. A lot of others don't.

Comics just does what it wants, and fans deal with what it does. *shrugs*

Don't mind the Dick/Kory, really. Despite being a dedicated Dick/Babs 'shipper, Dick/Kory had some good storylines and I see why he loved her and vice versa. It's just that for the lifelong thing, it's just so freakin' OBVIOUS it's Dick/Babs.

Of course, the Dick/Kory 'shippers could argue the opposite.
