Question for 24 Fans

I don't watch 24, but as it's part of the national pop culture conversation, I try to keep up. So I noticed the name of a character on the show, and wanted to confirm this.

There is a person on the show named Hal Gardner, right?

Because if there is, what are the odds he isn't named for those Green Lanterns, Hal Jordan and Guy Gardner?

(I also saw that Jack Bauer confronts Logan. I know Logan hasn't been the nicest kid in Neptune, but I don't think he deserves this. Unless he's been hitting on Bauer's daughter, too.)

I believe the captioning last night read "Hal Gordon." But Nomi and I thought the same thing -- what's Hal Jordan doing as the Vice-President on 24?

Logan was involved in a conspiracy that killed three of his closest friends, not to mention put the entire country in danger. If I were him? I'd be pissed.

The Logan to whom I refer in my effort at humor is the one on Veronica Mars. I forget that I haven't hooked everyone with my cunning entries about that show. My apologies for the confusion.

(And FWIW, I was tempted to make a Woverine joke since he's named Logan, too.)
