Comics: InfC 7, 'Tec 819
May. 3rd, 2006 01:37 pmSome spoilers ahead...
Infinite Crisis 7 - It's a big fight. Well done and rather well thought out by the good guys, but in the end, it's just a fight. Until the last seven pages or so, when all the cleverness and intelligence that made most of this story better than most return for a moment, and then when at long last the Big Three make peace. So, after all is said and done, while the DCU looks like it might be just a little less dreary and certainly a lot more cohesive, Infinite Crisis comes up short. Better than most stories of its kind (and worlds better than the end of Identity Crisis), but not the home run it could have been.
Detective 819 - The story grinds on. Some good moments, but after five issues, it's beginning to get a bit dull. This could have been shorter and still made the point that Bats has changed.
