Maurice Sendak Exhibition at The Jewish Museum

I don't do this often. I don't promote The Jewish Museum here much, even tohugh that is my job. Today, I'm going to do otherwise.

For I've just come from the press preview for our new exhibition, Wild Things: The Art of Maurice Sendak. And it's phenomenal. It's the best show we've had in years. It's surprising, charming, moving and intense. It's got all the things you would expect and some stuff you wouldn't, things from his work designing sets and costumes for opera and ballet.

You HAVE to see this show.

It opens this Friday and runs through August 14. See you there.

Now, if this was happening in London, I'd go see it on this recommendation. NYC is a bit far for an art exhibition, even an interesting one...
