sdelmonteEven though the Jewish year has a different calendar, we marked the New Year in our usual fashion, hosting good friends and having a good time.
And between 8 pm and now, I have learned of three engagements: a long time friend many of you know; one of Batya's first cousins; and the daughter of a fellow congregant in my shul. Looks like we can add at least two weddings to the list of things we will be invited to, which also includes a bar mitzvah and two bat mitzvahs. I would say this is a good way to turn the page on the calendar.
Here's hoping everyone had a good night no matter what you did, and here's wishing out a year of nothing but good things.
As for us...onward, hopefully first to The Hobbit and then to a family get together to mark the cousin's engagement. No rest for the tired, I suppose.
