RIP Joe Kubert

Joe Kubert, the legendary comics artist, has passed on. Kubert was acclaimed as an artist on such comics as Hawkman and Sgt. Rock, and founder of a very influential school for comic book artists, including his sons Andy and Adam. His work especially defined the war comic, ranging from Sgt. Rock to his heartfelt vision of an alternate self as a child in the Warsaw Ghetto. He worked till the end, with new DC comics due in the next two months.

His importance as artist and teacher is beyond measure. He will be missed, and never forgotten. Condolences to his family, his students, and his many fans.
