Shanah Tovah
Sep. 28th, 2011 02:36 pmTonight marks the start of the year 5772 on the Jewish calendar. There is a prayer with the refrain "may the year and its curses conclude." It's hard for me not to feel that way.
However, that prayer ends "let the new year and its blessings begin." There is always a new beginning, a chance to make amends for our wrongs and to build on the good that was there even with the bad. May this new year be one of blessing, of love, of peace, of family and friends and music and joy.
To all those celebrating, let me wish you a sweet and happy New Year!
ETA: Will be offline from tonight to Saturday night.
