I am curious if anyone else tried this? I liked it, even though it's not very original, and even though it's almost painfully earnest. But the cast is good, the FX are strong, and it feels like for once there is a superhero show where the characters will like being heroes. I am reminded of Lois and Clark or later episodes of the short-lived Flash TV show, where the heroes actually had fun. Whether the family here gets to do anything out of the ordinary remains to be seen, but I will at least give this a try for now.

Was I the only one who noticed that they used the *exact* same effect for the gunman that they used for Nightcrawler in the second X-Men movie? Guess no one else needed it.

I liked it and they've set up an interesting story with the wife's boss, though by no means original. It kind of reminds me of how hopeful I was for Heroes when it first started.

We watched the first episode and enjoyed it. I was pleasantly surprised by the presence of a super-villain in the first episode; I wasn't expecting it, and after we saw him, I realized that I would have expected something like that to pop up much later on in the season. So I'm glad they did it.
