I regard a strong rating from the NRA as a plus. It's a sign that the gun rights issue is becoming less polarized along party lines, which is necessary for the Democrats to be competitive in large parts of the country (on a sustained basis, not just in the immediate aftermath of a FUBAR Republican administration).
"Anti-immigrant" could mean any of a number of things, some problematic and some not.
