Jan. 13th, 2008 08:41 pm1. GO BIG BLUE! Which is to say, the Giants upset the Cowboys and are going to the NFC championship game next week in Green Bay. Woot!!
2. Saw Spamalot today. Entertaining and very well acted, but disposable. The songs were by and large forgettable and it's a strange mix of the original film and some mildly amusing but dated humor of the sort that includes showgirls and camp. It's from the Procuders school of Broadway. If you want Sondheim, you aren't going to find it here (for the most part). If you want Pythonesque humor melded with sometihng Mel Brooks might do, this is for you. I also found the second act far stronger than the first. So at least things end well.
