Flood on the Tracks
Aug. 8th, 2007 10:04 amAnd lo, it did begin to pour this morning. And all the rain sought refuge in the subway system.
The ENTIRE subway system is affected. Pretty much every line is suspended in part due to flooded tracks, with the possible exception of the 7 train. It took a lot of walking to get here today, and I am worried that it will take the same amount of walking and waiting to get home.
I would like to blame this entirely on the MTA. This sort of thing didn't used to happen so often, but it seems to be almsot common. However, it's the weather too. The weather is worse. I am sure of that. Global warming? Maybe.
All I know is that is took me 2 1/2 hours to get here, and I hae no idea if the flooding will be remedied by rush hour. At least I don't have a lot to do, since I am pooped.
