How Sweep It Is

I won't deny it. The Mets are sort of eh this year. Even pretty bad. Weak hitters, weak bullpen, really not much hope to do anything despite the few really good players in the mix.

But they just did something I never thought they could do. They took all four games they played against the Yankees this week. Yes, these Yankees aren't that great either, but they're the Yankees. The team that's supposed to win. The one that isn't a joke. This week, though, it was all Mets.

That might not be much in the big picture. The Yanks will still be the team with all the hopes. The Mets will not. But for this season, the Mets own bragging rights to the town.

And as a diehard Mets fan, I cannot be happier.
