All-Star Superman (The film)
Feb. 14th, 2011 09:51 pmI was lucky enough to get a ticket to a preview of All-Star Superman. The straight-to-video adaptation of Grant Morrison and Frank Quitely modern classic. And I was pleased. It was not total perfection - at only 75 minutes, there were things left out that I so wanted to see. But the cast was great, especially Anthony LaPlagia as Luthor, and the essence of the comic was captured as well as we could hope.
Also got to see a Q&A with legendary voice director Andrea Romano, scriptwriter Dwayne McDuffie, and the one and only Saffron, Christina Hendricks, who does a strong job with Lois Lane. Was much fun.
Fans of the comic, and of Superman, will like this. Fans of good animation should like it, too.
