Farewell, Dollhouse
Feb. 10th, 2010 01:42 pmJust watched the finale of Dollhouse. Gotta say that, given where this show began and given its truncated lifespan, and also given Joss' track record with wrapping things up, this was a great ending. I am not sure that a longer run would have been as satisfying - I am thinking Joss' next show needs to have a set length and an ending in mind, like BSG or Babylon 5 - so I am very happy with how the pieces came together. There were things here that I loved, things that I didn't really expect from Joss.
Here is hoping that the talented cast of this show finds work soon, that writers Jed Whedon and Maurissa Tancharoen get to create a show of their own, and that Joss can find a project that plays to his strengths. Because for the first time in a while, I feel like Joss is as good as we think he is.
