Gourmet Magazine No More
Oct. 5th, 2009 04:26 pmI am not a foodie. But I know a lot of you are, and I bet some of you have read or subscribed to Gourmet Magazine. Alas, today Conde Nast announced that Gourmet is no more.
It's quite interesting to read the comments about this at the Times. Half are overwhelmingly sad, but many lament the decline of quality of the magazine, and a few note that, as Egon Spengler presciently stated, print is dead.
Still, it's sad to see something around since 1940 become the latest casualty of both the decline of magazines and the recession.
