I didn't hate it. Or love it. I liked some of it - the opening scene, Karl Urban, Simon Pegg and Bruce Greenwood, the music, the new uniforms - but the rest was just there. A bit predictable, built on writer fiat, coincidence, shout-outs, a very bland villain and a generally bland lead. Never mind that it didn't really boldly go any place new. (Not that I expect that from a blockbuster movie any more.)
