I am back, and as predicted, didn't use the Internet since midday on Friday. So if there is something on your LJ or otherwise that you think I need to know about, please link me to it.

Con was okay. Not bad, not great, just okay. It may really be time to give Lunacon a miss next year and go to a different con. Still, it was good to at least see some faces I haven't seen in a while.

So we get home and decide to start catching up on the TV shows we missed over the last week - Lost, Life and Dollhouse. Having heard the buzz that this week, Joss would finally get to give us the show he envisioned and not the show Fox asked for, I decided to start with this one first.

Whoa. Joss is back. Sharp scriptwriting, sharp acting, twists and turns, examination of moral and ethical issues, and even (despite Joss telling us that this show is not going to be funny) some very clever and witty lines. It's still not perfect, but suddenly, it's a lot better, and it really feels like something that Joss Whedon wrote.

This bodes well.
