Conflikt was, to coin a phrase, awesome. It wasn't entirely perfect - there were some scheduling issues and I think that the con may have already outgrown the hotel - but it was still the kind of con I wish never ended. The kind that I wish I didn't miss chunks of because I was jetlagged. The kind I wish I could go to every year. I doubt we'll be back there that often, due to the cost and distance, but I really hope we find a way to go again. And again.
To everyone we saw there, even if it was just for a minute or two, it was great to see you and talk to you and sing with you. To everyone who gave a concert, more kudos and applause. And kudos to the concom for running not just a great event but for making it a really relaxed and fun place to be when we weren't singing.
Meanwhile, yes, I am home and decompressing. We had a bit of a detour on the way back as a few minutes into the flight out of Seattle, a passenger came down sick. A medical professional of some sort - I don't think he was a doctor, since they had to ask for med help a second time before he got up - examined the man, but about an hour later, we took a left and landed in Great Falls, Montana. It was more or less routinely handled, and we were only 40 minutes late. I also got to see at least a little of Montana. It was as stark and beautiful as advertised.
I also got to do something I have always wanted to do. Delta's inflight entertainment includes full CDs. One of the CDs was a John Williams compilation. Which of course has the theme from Superman. And I have always wanted to have that playing while the plane is taking off. I got to do that. Wow.
Yes, I am a fanboy. Why do you ask?
