- The night sky at 5:30 am on a moonless and clear and chilly night can be an awesome sight even in the city. (I was out that early because I attend morning services at my synagogue and because at this time of year they are really long.)

- Didn't review the latest part of Batman RIP. I'm not sure what to say at this point. It's one issue from being done, and it will either bring all the myriad pieces together or fail miserably. But the art is great and Morrison writes the Joker really well.

- Heroes aired over 11 hours ago in the eastern and central time zones and I haven't seen one blog entry about it. On the plus side, as I haven't seen it yet, I haven't been spoiled, either.

- Today is the 37th anniversary of my father's death. I wish I have something profound to say. I wish I had known him. But I like that my mother still sees something of him in me, especially on days when she's bundled up and I'm just wearing a jacket and not that cold.
