Lost Season Finale
May. 28th, 2007 02:28 pmNo spoilers, since I think most of you stopped watching and care very little.
But if you did, why did you stop? Because the last several episodes have been amazing. Fine acting, great scripts, wonderful twists and turns.
And then, in the finale, they pulled the rug from us big time. "This changes everything" is a cliche (one this show is guilty of too often). But this time, it's true.
What's that you say? Did we get any real answers? Sorta, kinda, but no, not entirely. And that's why you stopped watching? OK, that's fair. This show is a commitment, and sometimes a trudge and a chore.
But you are missing an ensemble that is the best I've ever seen. Yes, I know, some of you are tired of a focus on too few of that cast. Less Jack and Kate, more everyone else, you say. AGain, that's fair (and I kinda agree about Kate by now). But Matthew Fox has really come into his own, alongside Terry O'Quinn and Elizabeth Mitchell and Michael Emerson and everyone else.
So I go into the long break till Lost comes back next January happy. And also gaping and pondeirng what the heck just happened. And more certain than before that in the next 48 episodes, everything will come together and will make sense and all those loose ends will be tied up.
