First day here again, and the good news is that very few new things cropped while away. The bad news, though, is that all the old things still need to be done, including some I was hoping would be dealt with by others while I was gone. So busy days lay ahead.

At the same time, I am seriously tired with jetlag. I feel pretty much like I do the day after a con ends, with a restless night sleep followed by a deep level of blurry-eyed cognition. If you want to hear more about the trip, you're going to have to wait till I am awake.

We're gonna keep it short.

52, Week Forty - Twelve weeks to go and things seem to be heading somewhere with at least one plotline. It's mainly one big fight, but a well-done one.

Stephen King's The Dark Tower 1 - Say true: PAD and Robin Furth and the man himself do Roland and his world justice. PAD's script get the King-ness of the books without losing PAD's own voice, and the art is amazing. Yes, we know what is going to happen in this comic, but that doesn't mean it's not something to take note of.

Detective Comics 828 - The mystery isn't much, but the character play is quite good and keeps my interest.

Nightwing 129 - A couple of days in the life of Dick Grayson, now drawn with some (but not quite enough) skill by Jamal Igle, and written to near perfection by Marv Wolfman. This book hasn't been this good in ages, and I am one of those who thinks it's never really been bad (minus the Jason Tood story).
