Sunday at the Housefilk with Nightface

NY filkers: come one, come all!!

We are hosting a housefilk! Israel-based filker nightface is in town, and we figured we'd better take advantage while we could.

The housefilk is this coming Sunday, September 17, starting at 2:00pm, and continuing until 8:00pm or when people get bored. Food will probably be limited to snacky bits; they are soliciting contributions of a kosher pareve-or-dairy nature. (Junk food with kashrut symbols is good, as are fresh raw fruit and/or veg.)

Hey Kids! Comics (at The Jewish Museum)!

At last it's here! Masters of American Comics opens at The Jewish Museum and also at the Newark Museum. Come see works by such legends as Eisner, Kirby, Crumb and Ware at the JM, and by such masters as McCay, Gould, Caniff and Schulz at Newark!

The Spirit, the Thing, Dick Tracy, Charlie Brown, Mr. Natural, Krazy Kat, and even Fritz the Cat and Jimmy Corrigan get their due. Hooray!!
