HYPE: Sarah Bernhardt at The Jewish Museum

Well, not really Sarah Bernhardt (though I am convinced, given the odd glitches in getting this new show ready that Sarah Bernhardt's ghost is haunting the place).

But beginning today, The Jewish Museum presents Sarah Bernhardt: The Art of High Drama. Over 250 works, inclduing some amazing posters and other examples of Belle Epoque art and design, vintage film, and rarely seen photos, bring to light the light and career of the woman many (okay, the curators) call the first celebrity. (Jenny Lind will argue this, of course.)
