Normally, when I get to work, I dive right in. I goof off plenty, but not till after I handle e-mai,, voice mail, and so forth, and address the "do right away" stuff.

Not today. Today I took ten minutes to finish Terry Pratchett's Night Watch. It's that good.

If you are a Pratchett fan, get your hands on this ASAP. If you are not, start reading his work, beginning with the earlier novels, and work your way towards this. This may not be the absolute best thing Pratchett has written, but it's up there.

More analysis in spoilered format when I have more time.

Impossible as it sounds, the Lunacon program schedule and grid are online already! A lot sounds interesting this year, on a variety of topics from Alias to Angel, from Firefly to Farscape, from Harry Potter to Hal Clement, from Star Trek to Star Wars costumes for kids.

Does this bode well for the ConCom? Let's hope so.
