*nods* I should not be getting the same feeling about Doctor Who that I did about Torchwood, which is that it's good actors trying to do things with mediocre (at best) scripts. Without spoilers -- the next one made me and Mir throw a gasket for several reasons, many of which you've gone into. I have my fingers crossed that it's going to get better.
And I can keep telling myself -- I made it through Torchwood (and actually kind of liked it), I can make it through this.
But...this is Doctor Who, and I shouldn't have to tell myself that.
