RIP Marshall Rogers

sdelmonteComic book artist Marshall Rogers has passed away at the age of 57. Rogers is best known for contributing the artwork to a groundbreaking run on Detective Comics written by Steve Englehart. If you ever read any of the reprints of "The Laughing Fish," you've seen Rogers at his pinnacle. I think that only Brian Bolland's rendition of the Joker can come close to the chilling but believable version Rogers gave us.
Recently, Rogers and Englehart teamed up for a new Batman miniseries following the events of their original work. While I didn't love the story, the art was still great. Fans were hoping that this would mark the return to prominence of a legend. Alas, it was not meant to be.
