And now, the other half of the week's comics...
Batman 658 - The end of "Batman and Son" is a typical Morrison comic, with lots of good moments and a good script and story that sort of just falls away as we get to the end. It was all one big (and rather dim) plan by Talia to get Batman for herself. Damian, kidnapping the Prime Minister's wife, all of it. But it did get us to see Batman in action again, and on top of things. Morrison gets Batman, and Alfred and Robin. I just don't know if he has any good idea besides "fight!" Still, it's not a dull comic.
Dr. Strange: The Oath 2 - Dr. Strange, accompanied by Wong and Night Nurse, look for the man who shot the Sorcerer Supreme, finding more death. Readable, but somewhat slow. BKV is good but not great a decompressed storytelling, and this flashback-filled issue is quite decompressed. Which is to say, not a lot happens. Thankfully, Strange and Night Nurse are both interesting as they banter a bit, and as BKV's sense of humor helps.
