Lunacon Kosher Konspiracy

As many of you already know, I am once again taking a hand in helping to organize the potluck Friday night shabbos dinner at Lunacon. Indeed, I thank those of you I have e-mailed who have already replied.

However, I suspect that there are either people I have not e-mailed that I should have, or people whose contact info I don't have, or people that you know and that I don't. If there is someone who wants to join in the headcount, or someone you want me to contact, please let me know. Thanks.

I'm not any part of the Luncacon Kosher Konspiracy and as I am on the otherside of the continent I wouldn't expect to be. However, I just wanted to take the opportunity to wave to you and your wife. So.

Koaher Konspiracy is the umbrella name for efforts at various and sundry science fiction conventions to get together all the observant Jews for a somewhat traditional Friday night shabbos dinner. Usually, everyone who's coming provides something, and we crowd into a hotel room for a couple of hours to eat, socialize and do Jewish things.

For reasons that can only be explained as insanity, I have been helping to organize this at Lunacon, which is NYC's only sci-fi con of note. We have had as many as 20 people for meals in the past, and it can be daunting, if fun.

Wow. That sounds really cool. TIme consuming but cool. I have never actaully been to a convention before. THough I think all of my friends have at some point.
