Flute Solo in Space!

When I saw this story of an astronaut playing her flute on the Space Station, my first thought was whether the flute came with memories of another life lived long ago on a dead planet. And then whether the acoustics are better in the access tubes above Engineering.

And then I saw that she played "Bluenose" by Stan Rogers. Stan Rogers played in space. How cool is that? I think Stan would have approved.

I think you should see this. Back in the 80s, Jean-Michel Jarre wrote a piece in which Ron McNair was to contribute a saxophone part, recorded on the shuttle. Sadly, it was not to be.
