More on Vonnegut

How was I first exposed to Kurt Vonnegut? Slaughterhouse-Five? Cat's Cradle? Nope. It was through this giveaway I got in elementary school. It was part of a series - I think there was also one from Art Buchwald. All these years later, and it's stuck with me.

In my 4th grade program we were introduced to a series called "Junior Great Books" short stories and novellas. That's how I was introduced to The Veldt by Ray Bradbury. Vonnegut didn't show up til high school I'm afraid.

The pictures in that giveaway seem rather familiar to me, suggesting that one of my teachers either gave it out or had a poster on the wall.
