I'm not entirely sure they count as villains, given their motivations. And I liked Alex Luthor's insight regarding him and Superman as well.

Of course, the Earth-Prime made two appearances and Alex Luthor a dozen, so I can't feel as if they have really gone from hero to villain the way Hal Jordan or Scarlet Witch did.
