Francis Crick RIP

Francis Crick, who codiscovered the double helix of deoxyribonucleic acid with James Watson and changed the world, has passed on at the age of 88.

Even in an age of discovery and breakthrough, the arrival of DNA on the scene stands out. Few things have had a more profound impact on science, technology and everyday life, and I think it's safe to say that we've barely seen anything yet in terms of revolutionary (perhaps even evolutionary) changes in our lives.

Rest well, Dr. Crick.
