Serenity is Back (in comics form)
That is, the show formerly known as Firefly. At long last, the Whedon family - Joss as "executive producer" and Zack as writer - is giving us a comic book miniseries set after the movie, one that actually addresses what happened in the film.
And it's...pretty good? Zack Whedon is an okay comics writer, and it's great to see these old friends again. But I am not a big fan of Georges Jeanty, who moves here from the Buffy comic and continues to struggle drawing the faces of real people. It's at about the same level as previous Serenity comics. It won't make you declare this the next great thing in four color literature, but it will make you happy. And, at least for some of you, a bit weepy.
And it's also a bit funny to see the cast as they were, more or less. Before Filion started looking just a bit jowly and when Summer Glau was still really, really young.
Feel free to discuss in the comments - I will allow spoilers, so be warned if you care.
