Farewell, Julius Schwartz

Julius Schwartz, beloved former editor for DC Comics and before that a literary agent for SF writers such Ray Bradbury, has passed on at age 88.

Here is a link to comic book writer/expert Mark Evanier's site, one of many heartfelt tributes to a man whose contributions to SF and the super-hero comic are immeasurable:

His presence in comics was missed already as lesser men took on the task he retired from in the mid-80s. But now the world will miss him entirely, as DC's most famous "goodwill ambassador" is gone. I never knew him, but his work is a part of me. And to those that were lucky enough to know him, I offer deepest condolences.
