1. Nomi and I would love to see you guys every single time we go to NYC. Don't know the logistics of it, however.
2. Personally, I'd like to see NASA get as much funding as it needs to fulfill our dreams. I remember when the first President Bush committed NASA to a manned Mars mission. Then, when NASA showed him the budget, he balked. Frankly, for my money, space travel is the one thing for which we must spend as much as we possibly can. But I'm already a convert on this and I tend to preach to the choir.
By the way, I highly recommend the HBO miniseries "From the Earth to the Moon," which is available on DVD. The glory days of NASA.
