madfilkentist has discovered that LJ is about to tinker with its layouts, and ours, like it or not. He also notes that it's been announced in a place not easily found. I wonder if there is a sign saying "Beware of Tiger" on the door.

Eh. It's not a bad thing, except for the "change is bad" crowd.

Aside from anything else, the new feature comes with a new "select your menu bar preferences one" -- so (unlike before), if you want to be "protected" from future such changes after it's gone live, you can.

But having tried out the new layout (Horizon), I can't see why you would -- it's clean, non-obnoxious, and pretty; much moreso than the old new layout.
