Lost: Two Hours To Go...

Am I a fool for thinking that we will actually get answers? Or that JJ Abrams is telling the truth when he promises a kick-ass finale?

Either way, the last few weeks have been great, if occasionally padded. There have been so many amazing character moments, so many scenes where the actors play off each other so well.

Locke having Eko's dream. Sawyer and Kate after Libby died. Ana Lucia and Jack's dad. Hurley every heart-breaking moment of the last three episodes. Locke on the beach. Charlie and the statues. Eko and Michael. Eko and Charlie. Sayid figures it out (though I do wonder if sometimes Jack isn't taking Widmore Labs brand stupid pills). Sawyer confesses to Jack. Walt. The boat.

There will come a point when the inner critic kicks in. He always does. He did for Buffy, for The Simpsons, for Smallville, for The Practice, for Night Court and Next Gen and Chicago Hope pretty much every TV show that I watched and loved from its deubt and that ran more than four seasons . He will nitpick and snipe and sometimes he'll even get me to turn off the TV or VCR. Lost seems very likely to run a long while, and likely to drown under its own weight. But for now...

The inner critic is just as curious about how it will end as is the fanboy. And I can't wait for what comes next Wednesday.

I too can't wait. Sadly, I have Town Meeting next Wednesday, which means I probably won't be able to watch the finale until Saturday night...

Yeah, i felt "Lost" was coasting for awhile there, but they have stepped it up big time in the last few weeks. I'm expecting some big reveals/developments in next week's finale- hope I'm not wishing in vain.

DOn't watch the show myself but have heard nothing bad about it thus far. *crosses fingers* that your inner critic stays away as long as possible.
